Alexandra Miller, an environmental studies major at 91̽»¨, presented at the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education Conference and Expo held in Nashville, Tenn., Oct. 6-9.<\/p>\n

Miller, a junior from Dilworth, Minn., presented a poster on vermiculture, the process of composting with worms, and how it is being used in the basement of Bemidji State’s Walnut Hall. Miller also attended workshops to learn and share techniques and practices to make BSU a more sustainable campus.<\/p>\n

The AASHE Conference and Expo invites administrations, faculty, students and businesses to share ideas with the purpose of making higher education more sustainable.<\/p>\n
