Follow these steps for success:<\/p>\n<h5>1. Apply for admission &#8211; it&#8217;s free!<\/h5>\n<p>Distance students must <a href=\"\/admissions\/online-distance\/\">apply for admission to 91̽»¨<\/a> using the same process and forms as our on-campus students:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undergraduates:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eservices.minnstate.edu\/adm\/public\/studentWelcome?campusId=070\">Apply online as an undergraduate<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Graduate Students:\u00a0<a href=\"\/admissions\/graduate\/apply\/\">Apply online through the School of Graduate Studies<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>2. Transfer credit evaluation<\/h5>\n<p>Your previous college\/university credits will be evaluated for transfer after we receive your official transcripts. The BSU transfer team can download transcripts from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Minnesota State schools<\/span> electronically. If your transcripts are from outside of the Minnesota State system (including the University of Minnesota), please contact that college or university to request an official copy of your transcript be sent to the Office of Admissions at BSU (See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/admissions\/transfer\/sending-transcripts\/\">Sending Transcripts<\/a> page). <strong>Your transfer evaluation will be completed within 3 weeks after your admission to BSU<\/strong>. We will notify you by email when it is complete.<\/p>\n<h5>3.\u00a0Apply for financial aid and scholarships<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the <a style=\"line-height: normal;background-color: white\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fafsa.ed.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Free Application for Federal Student Aid<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Apply for <a title=\"Scholarships\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/admissions\/online-distance\/tuition-aid\/scholarships\/\">special scholarships for distance learners<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Check with your major department to learn about other scholarship opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>4. Register for classes<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Review <a title=\"Registration\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/academics\/distance\/student-resources\/registration\/\">registration\u00a0guidelines and policies<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Register through E-Services at <a href=\"\/mybsu\/\">MyBSU<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/academics\/distance\/contact\/\">contact Extended Learning<\/a> for assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Learn more about your E-Services account and the registration process at <a title=\"Registration FAQs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/academics\/distance\/student-resources\/registration\/registration-faqs\/\">Registration FAQs<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>5. Review Information Technology (IT) Help Articles<\/h5>\n<p>BSU&#8217;s IT HelpDesk staff have curated a list of <a href=\"https:\/\/services.bemidjistate.edu\/TDClient\/84\/Portal\/KB\/PopularArticles\">popular help articles for new students<\/a>.
