Water is a renewable resource, yet many are concerned about the quantity and quality of drinking water. Water treatment and delivery both require consumption of resources.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Erika Bailey-Johnson (Strategic Plan)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3>Hydration Stations<\/h3>\n<p>As of Spring 2011, in addition to distributing reusable water bottles, BSU&#8217;s campus featured two bottle-filling stations attached to water fountains. The Green Fee Mini Grant, Residential Life, and the Student Union helped pay for these stations.<\/p>\n<p>That fall, a People of the Environment student group successfully worked on installing more stations. Five stations were installed before the Spring 2012 semester. The Sustainability Office&#8217;s goal is to provide easily accessible, filtered water through a bottle-filling station on every floor in every building.\u00a0 We hope students, faculty, staff, and community members will fill reusable bottles with filtered tap water instead of consuming plastic bottled water.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Living in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, it is easy to forget we must conserve water.
