The closet offers free clothing items such as dresses, blouses, dress pants, button-down shirts, suits, shoes, and more! All teacher education candidates are welcome to take clothes for use during their clinical experience. The closet is located inside the Office of Teacher Education, Bensen Hall 339. Feel free to stop by today!<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to donate to the teacher closet, please contact the Office of Teacher Education: (218) 755-2764<\/p>\n<h2>Scholarships<\/h2>\n<p>BSU offers over 40 scholarships for Teacher Education students. The scholarship window opens October 14, with applications due February 1st of the next year. You only need to <a href=\"https:\/\/bemidjistate.academicworks.com\/applications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">complete one application<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a> to apply for over 400 scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>TeachMN also offers scholarships for teacher candidates. <a href=\"https:\/\/minnesota.teach.org\/services\/scholarship?utm_source=epp-share-all&amp;utm_medium=social-media&amp;utm_campaign=resource-toolkit&amp;utm_content=scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Click here for more information<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/offices\/teacher-education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/148\/2026\/02\/2026-MMU-Audrey-Erskine-Application.pdf\">Audrey Erskine Scholarship<\/a> is available to undergraduate juniors and seniors pursuing a teaching career.<\/p>\n<h2>Student Teaching Grant Opportunity<\/h2>\n<p>Minnesota&rsquo;s Office of Higher Education provides student teaching grant funding for candidates who are student teaching in shortage areas, who intend to teach in a rural area, or who belong to a racial or ethnic group underrepresented in the MN teacher workforce. This grant funding is available for CTE, Mathematics, Music, Science, Special Education, and Visual Arts Education. The OTE&rsquo;s goal is to ensure candidates have access to transparent, due process that leads to an appropriate resolution of the complaint in a timely manner. The OTE will follow BSU&rsquo;s policies with exceptions related directly to OTE responsibilities such as clinical experiences, teacher licensing, program accreditation, and program assessment. Submit the completed form to the Director of the OTE or designated proxy.
