At the Student Center for Health & Counseling (SCHC), we accept many major health insurance plans. Bring your insurance card to every appointment or email front and back photos to healthservices@bemidjistate.edu<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a reminder, all on campus counseling services are free<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Billing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Medical services are billed to insurance, but health insurance is not required to have an appointment. There is no payment at the time of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our billing company, Compu-Med, will bill your insurance that we have on file. After insurance has paid its portion, any remaining balance that is owed will be placed on your student account. Bills can be paid online in your E-Services account or at the Cashiers office (located on 2nd<\/sup> floor of Deputy Hall).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Because insurance coverage and benefits vary, we cannot provide exact out-of-pocket costs ahead of time. You can review our ‘Paying Without Insurance’ section for general rates, and you’re entitled to a Good Faith Estimate under federal law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t have insurance or prefer not to use it, you can choose our self-pay option with reduced rates. To get a self-pay agreement and charge list, contact SCHC directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
