Share similar experiences with students who, like you, have just arrived at Bemidji State.<\/p>\n<p>All new first-year students participate in the First-Year Residential Experience program (FYRE), which provides a unique <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29 size-full alignright img-fluid\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2022\/01\/FYRE-logo.jpg\" alt=\"FYRE Logo\" width=\"166\" height=\"215\" data-bp=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2022\/01\/FYRE-logo.jpg\">academic and social experience specifically designed for first-year students. Students have the opportunity to live with a roommate in a double room along with other first-year students in Oak or Tamarack Hall. Together you explore BSU and help each other adapt to college life.<\/p>\n<p>You&rsquo;ll have the chance to learn more about the FYRE program and opportunities when you arrive on campus for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/student-activities\/annual-events\/orientation-welcome-week\/\">New Student Orientation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>FYRE Facts<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>771 students<\/li>\n<li>17 residence hall floors<\/li>\n<li>1 PAA per floor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>FYRE Benefits<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>An individualized orientation program designed exclusively for FYRE students<\/li>\n<li>FYRE sections of the First-Year Experience (FYE) Seminar classes<\/li>\n<li>Caring Resident Assistants (RAs) on each floor<\/li>\n<li>One Peer Academic Assistant (PAA) living on each floor<\/li>\n<li>Students can search for a roommate right in the housing application &mdash; the roommate experience is a key part of FYRE<\/li>\n<li>Academic Resource Centers (ARC) in Oak and Tamarack Halls<\/li>\n<li>FYRE social activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Activities and Traditions<\/h2>\n<p>There is ALWAYS something to do for participants of the FYRE program.
