The Law School Early Admission program allows students to fast track an undergraduate degree at 91探花 and a law degree at the one of the partnered schools. Students earn a four-year bachelor’s degree and a three-year juris doctorate compressed into six years.
BSU Undergraduate Degree
- Complete 92 credits at 91探花.
- Work closely with Dr. Patrick Donnay, pre-law advisor, and your faculty advisor, to make sure the first-year courses at the law school transfer to BSU as upper-level credits in your major and upper-level electives. These will complete the 28 credits needed for a BSU bachelor’s degree.
- First-year law school courses must be reviewed for approval to meet substitution requirements by the participating BSU department or program.
- Students will receive their bachelor’s degree after successful completion of their first year of law school.
Program Requirements
- Meet with Patrick Donnay, pre-law advisor, as early as possible in your academic planning process. Dr. Donnay will assist students and their academic advisors to ensure that bachelor degree requirements are met.
- Review the program requirements checklist to make sure you are meeting BSU graduation requirements before beginning law school.
Admission to law school
Participation in the 3+3 program does not guarantee admission into law school. Students must complete the same process required of all applicants to Mitchell Hamline law school or Case Western Reserve University.
- Complete the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and or Case Western Reserve University by the fall of your third year of undergraduate study.
- Students not accepted into law school or who change their plans may complete their studies at Bemidji State to earn a bachelor’s degree.
